Pain and illness develop when our forces of health become stuck or overwhelmed. This can be attributed to a multitude of factors: injury, emotional and physical stress, infection, and trauma to name but a few.

A deeply nourishing form of body therapy, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy uses light touch to support the body as it releases areas of compression, congestion, and tension in order to restore vitality. It nourishes all tissues of the body, allowing the release of old restrictions from disease, surgery or trauma. Restriction patterns in the body can be a core cause of chronic pain symptoms such as headaches, neck and backaches, hip and pelvic pains that have not responded to medications or other therapies.
CST helps to release areas where the muscles are tight and where the joints, fluids and organs are unable to move freely. At the core of our healing mechanisms is the cerebrospinal fluid that nourishes the brain and spinal cord and is critical for healthy motion in all of our body systems: vascular, digestive, endocrine, nervous, lymphatic, and musculoskeletal. By supporting the flow of cerebrospinal fluid, CST creates an ideal environment for the brain and spinal cord, which allows the nerves to communicate clearly and the body to self-correct and heal.
The gentle touch and soothing effect of cranial work encourages feelings of safety and relaxation that clarify how tension is being held in the body and how emotions and psychological states are affecting our overall wellbeing. This helps our stress levels become more manageable so that all of the systems involved in digestion, hormone balance, muscle tone, lymphatic flow, nervous activity (like sensations and thoughts) can self-regulate and communicate with each other more effectively.
